Directly Support Survivors
Donate Items for Survivors
Survivors often come to VSC during moments of crisis, trauma, and uncertainty. Donated items help us provide immediate comfort, dignity, and practical support to survivors receiving services, including those coming in for forensic medical exams. Whether you donate snacks, clothing, hygiene items, gift cards, or technology, your support helps meet real needs in a direct and meaningful way.
Survivor Support Wishlists
Food & Drinks for Forensic Exam Survivors
Forensic medical exams can take several hours, and survivors may arrive without having eaten, had water, or had time to prepare. Snacks and drinks help us offer comfort, hydration, and basic care during or after the exam process.
Gift Cards for Survivors
Gift cards help VSC respond flexibly to survivors’ immediate and practical needs after victimization. They may help with food, transportation, replacement clothing, hygiene items, medication, or other essentials. Gift cards are especially meaningful because they allow survivors to choose what they need most.
Clothing for Forensic Exam Survivors
During a forensic medical exam, a survivor’s clothing may need to be collected as evidence. Donated clothing allows us to offer survivors clean, comfortable clothing to leave in after their exam, supporting dignity, comfort, and choice during a difficult moment.
Hygiene Items for Survivors
Hygiene items help survivors access basic personal care after a crisis, especially when they may be unable to return home or have had personal items collected as evidence. At our forensic examination sites, survivors have access to a private shower, and donated supplies help us provide comfort and care during or after the exam process.
Donate Used Phones or Laptops
VSC has partnered with 911 Cell Phone Bank to collect used phones and laptops. Donated devices are sent to 911 Cell Phone Bank, where they may be refurbished, repurposed, or used to support survivor-serving programs. This partnership allows community members to give old technology a second life while supporting safety, access, and survivor-centered services.
